A dry and clear start to last night but clouding over from late evening, the cloud eventually bringing a little light rain and drizzle during the early hours, accompanied by hill fog

Currently it's overcast with light rain but there were a few brief glimpses of sunshine about an hour ago.

A short spell of light-moderate rain this morning followed by intermittent drizzle. It became dry from 1300 g.m.t and from mid-afternoon the cloud broke to allow sunny intervals.

Disappointing day after yesterdays best day for the whole of August in these parts. Dull and overcast most of the day with some periods of light rain. Clouds finally started to break at about 5.45. Relatively mild but sun came too late to make any impression on the temperature - about 17/18C.
