London and SE weather is talking about some much colder weather based on ECM models.

"The ECM weather model likes the idea of putting the UK into the freezer by next weekend. The cold over Eastern Europe is astonishing considering it would only be mid-November.

Discretion is advised as this is a projection of what COULD happen and certainly not what WILL happen. We could, however, be on the cusp of something very unusual and perhaps record breaking in some parts. Snow will certainly be a prominent feature here. "

We were lonely without you, but survived. Are you the harbinger of coldy stuff?

Currently, around here, Stun, it's behaving more like 2013.

Agreed, a tad w*nk to date. We almost got a frost so far. I live in hope, however.

Still not raining here, seems to be disintegrating on approach. Guess it will make it eventually.

If it was the rain that caused the collapse that caused the electrical failure thingy, then you probably could do without any more rain for now! Things drying out here!

Rain, rain, rain....let's hope it's not a repeat of last year.  Personally, I'd rather like a winter similar to 2010....snowy Christmas  :cold: please x

Like others, haven't been about much this year, but now the cold weather looms, Snow Ramp and lamppost watch time imminent. Lovely to see some familiar faces! Looks like the current set up still coming across the channel is veering more NW, so no let up in the rain as yet for some. Evening all.

Hi Jax, how's the art going?  We were in North Yorkshire last week in the beautiful fishing village of Staithes and bought a painting from the local gallery via the Arts Council scheme that is basically a 10 month interest free loan.  Do you sell your work?  If you can get it into a gallery you might find they operate the same scheme ('Own Art').  It means the artist gets paid immediately, the gallery gets paid and the Arts Council takes the risk, we've bought a few pieces over the last few years including from Pembrokeshire where the Welsh scheme is called Collector Plan.

Good to hear Jax, push hard at your local council but I'd really recommend contacting the Arts Council for details. good luck.

Hi Jax

Hope you;/re OK...do you still have a bird in the hand?

Got a bit hairy here last sunday with sick piggies, emergency vet visit  and flood warning ...but we all survived!

Temps have plummeted this week so time to wrap up warm!

Your furry nieces and nephews are sending you wheeks!
xxx
