Theweatheroutlook's  autumn forecast running up to November, sounds like a repeat performance of last winter, often stormy and unsettled with brief cold snaps in the north!   Although one difference is that the Quasi biennial oscillation should be in a negative phase this time! Will that make any difference?

At least in winter, you know it's going to be cold, jeans and jumper day, but it's a nightmare deciding what to wear at the moment. One minute chilly wind, then mild wind, then hot sun then no sun. At least no horrible fine drizzle when I go on the school run. 

 

Cloudy atm and cool. I expect this will break and it will be pleasant day with cloud bubbling up a little. So a little like most of the week.

Bank holiday Monday was the last time, if I remember correctly. Someone said they were having a douvet day.

 

My neighbour told me yesterday that we're in for a few hurricane's by months end. No idea who, why, where, when. Something he heard.

Hurricanes :shok:  Do they mean, hurricane left overs, or hurricane hurricanes? Hasn't rained here for ages either!

Hubs just took me out to buy another coat and jumper  (cos picking up the wee one is a bit chilly in winter) and it's not warm at all. cloudy, no sun, no breeze. chilly.

Another calm and dry day here, no sun today the cloud and even murk at ground level has remained, the view across the river valley was showing the hanging murk quite well.

Nah, they're fine, just in small doses.

A cloudy day all day today. Still pretty warm with very light winds.

A rather grey and uneventful day here. Not much else can be said. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Winds look a little more easterly so hopefully a drier air source should break the cloud up a bit.

Felt a bit nippy this evening, was OK earlier and even out in a tshirt but as the sun set the temps seem to have dropped a bit, but could just be me.  dry still so that is good.

In contrast to other days, I had to wear a cardie on getting bubs from school. In fact a breeze had gotten up and it felt more' seasonal.'

Yep nice warm coat with a cosy hood, and no not from Primark. I am getting ready for the cold winter wind that loves to blow round bub's school

Better day here, rather warm too, some cloud but equally there has been some sunny spells, still calm and dry, back to tshirt with the doors and windows open again, rather like this current period of weather.
