Piggies are all (now) OK thanks everyone. (Last passing was Sambuca in July but still have 14!)

Poorly piggie = intensive syringe feeding every 3 hours....plus multiple meds...luckily we caught things early enough last week and were successful in our supportive care of Sammy guinea pig (even if it meant a night on the floor for me whist the flood warning was in place)!

I've been a tad busy recently as my County Council (in their new role as Local Lead Flood Authority) have prioritised my village for a Surface Water Flood Risk Management Plan....Finally we have an opportunity to rectify the surface water and (combined) sewage drainage issues that have blighted our village for the last 20+ years....(and kept me awake for most of last Xmas!!)

Everything comes to he who waits! (but it's been a bloomin' long time!)

Looks like an interesting winter anyway - compared to last year - thanks so much John for your insights. They add so much to this forum - what would it be without you?

Hi! I wasn't around either when whatever happened happened.

Back to weather - love the temp graph from my garden today... guess what time the rain arrived:

It's still not got here, in fact it looks to be pushing back west.

After a day of torrential rain and strong winds, it has turned into a calm winter's night! Cool but not cold but it is starting to cloud over again! More rain on the way maybe?

Wetter than an otter's pocket out there. 12mm since midnight and no sign of the rain stopping in the next few hours.

Well it was a bit here today and gone tomorrow really as most of the posts from last night got deleted including a poem by abruzzi spur - there was noting wrong with anything that was said and certainly noting created hassle for the forum team !

As they say actions speak louder than words so have a good winter folks ....... Bye :-)

I come back and Angelici goes - was it something I said? ;)

Please don't leave - I'm sure if there's a problem re moderation, a chat with the admins can sort it out...

It's a typical November morning here - might be dry enough to put some washing on the line!

Morning all

Nice to see some missed faces posting last night, it cheered me up like the weather this morning, after that wet and wild evening yesterday it has turned into a clear, calm and very sunny day here, steam rising off the fences.

Was nice when I woke but looks to be clouding over already, and radar says showers may be on the way. I enjoyed the little visit last night. Would really like to see more from our old friends.  :cc_confused:

After all the rain yesterday, it is nice to have the sunshine back! Clear blue skies and a gentle breeze here! 12.5c I wonder if that easterly is still on the ECM this morning, or whether it has been dumped! :unknw:

Overcast but still dry here, did expect it to rain a bit but the rain just seems to disintegrate as it reaches here. Very strange but welcome considering all the rain that is forecast for this week.

Well must admit my own surprise this afternoon, took a walk to the village younder to see my family and had to strip down to my t-shirt it was so warm walking in the sunshine, edge starting to fall off the temps on the walk back but still very mild for the time of year.

It was lovely out in Kensington Gardens. The plants seem a bit confused as there were snowdrops and daisies out together in the same patch.
