Do you like autumn because there isn't much thunder, or do you like the colours of the trees etc? Sun just setting here, nice evening for a barbie!

Mostly cloudy here, until mid-afternoon when it became partially cloudy. Now it's just thin layer cloud. Bored now.

 

Which month in particular ThunderBuddy?

I like the colours and seeing everything changing. I like how it's darker in the eveningso again, but not pitch black at 5 like winter. The countdown to Xmas can begin, and the weather is usually a more pleasant kindof warm than ssummer,without the sticky nights. I like September and early October.

November sucks as you have to get used to the darkness plus it is usually mild and rainy, hardly ever snows in London in November!

After last week dry, light winds but generally gloom. This week has started the complete opposite, blue skies since Sunday, glorious conditions, temperature upto 19c and 2mph S.

Another fine day, warm dry and sunny, again a coolish start with mist rolling off the fields and river.  Last night felt a lot warmer and was a bit of a struggle to find a comfy temp to sleep, warm under the duvet but a bit too cool out of it, did have the window open for a short while but had to abandon that idea when a fox nearby decided to start.

It was perfect at lunch time when we dropped off bubs for school, the breeze was mild, the sun was hidden by a cloud but it wasn't chilly at all. Yesterday the sun was almost burning, but the breeze with quite cool. One of those do i or don't i wear a cardie days.

Overall the conditions/temps are perfect for me, calm, dry, warm and still light enough to enjoy the early evening, shame I will be working this weekend else I would have slotted in a trip to one of the many nature reserves round here, as it is I just may get to sneak in a couple of hours if I can plan it all in right.

Theweatheroutlook's  autumn forecast running up to November, sounds like a repeat performance of last winter, often stormy and unsettled with brief cold snaps in the north!   Although one difference is that the Quasi biennial oscillation should be in a negative phase this time! Will that make any difference?
