Not seen any sunshine here so far today, bit of a breeze taking the edge off the warm temps too and just as I was thinking of nipping out it starts to rain, delayed that plan for now.

Max here of 20.1c, 1:14pm

See three unmarked cars racing down the A127 earlier today, all in the space of about 15 minutes, not sure what was going on

Someone probably forgot to renew their road tax disc in time! Had some very light showers today, feeling warmish too!

Aha oh it is quiet :whistling: wont be long before they come in their thousands, summer is slipping away. It was a decent one characterised by humidity stormy conditions and then much fresher conditions.. Apart from convective rain, the SE/EA has not been under attack by the Atlantic steam train. A pleasant english Summer, now eyes draw to Autumn its looking like the Atlantic will be sleepy for some time :)

We will need storms to liven the thread up, failing that, we will have to wait for the S word to arrive! Heard net weather goes a bit mental when the white stuff falls! :bomb::crazy:

"A bit mental" is putting it mildly. If the models are not in agreement about the likelihood of whether there will be any white stuff, it's like an explosion of two-year-olds in a toys-out-of-pram-throwing competition.

Not that warm here today, and the cloud didn't start breaking up until late afternoon.

Lassie.... first, FI... then a weeks time.... then 72 hrs... then 24hrs.... then all hell break loose when some on here expect to be buried in the white stuff and don't see a single flake,

and bragging rights go to some just only 20miles up the road that have had 10" :whistling:

Lets just hope we don't have a winter like last year 2013-2014............ 2010 WILL DO ME tongue.gifskiing.gif

Morning all, last post here in Saffron Walden. Next stop Chelmsford tomorrow, between now and then there is work and a trip back to the triangle of doom.

At least the sun is out with near cloudless skies.

Triangle of doom? Heard of the 'Temple Of Doom.' Sunny start to the day here!

Just had a very brief torrential and windy downpour. Had literally just stepped inside when it started.

November is a special month, so only snow will do. I always wish for a flurry of snow on xmas day but that never happens, either :nonono:

Sun, cloud cool wind today. Nothing amazing.

Hello Captain Shortwave

Welcome to the wonderful city of Chelmo!

Will you be living here or just passing through?

The weather, after a fairly bright start has been cloudy with only the occasional sunny interval. We had a very light (just a few spots) shower about 13.40, otherwise up until now it has been dry, although the sky looks rather threatening ATM.

Kind regards

Dave

Afternoon, been a mild day but we never managed to be rid of the cloud here, and now it has come on to drizzle (just as I was walking back), weekend I think is looking better though.

It's a part of East Anglia inhabited by Captain Shortwave (formerly) and Mrs Trellis (aka Pete Tattum) that never ever, ever, ever gets any storms.

A little bit of drizzle here late afternoon, but otherwise a pleasant (if not that warm for August) day with sunny spells.
