Fog cleared by 0900 here, we had an air frost just, min -0.2c.

Unsettled in the week ahead but at least it turns very mild...some brightness and not so bad East Midlands:

Cirrostratus spreading in from the SE now ahead of the low, sunshine turning hazy.

Looks like sunshine will be rare as hen's tooth next week with the incoming low for Monday/Tuesday then the warm moist airmass moving in Wednesday from the big Atlantic low. One of those gloomy murky Autumnal spells of weather with rain, drizzle possible every day I think

Yuck. We had over a month of that rubbish last Oct into Nov, not welcome back any time. Ice on the top of the car this morning, really weird how it was clear till 7 then thick mist descended by 7.30 which is only just clearing.

SO95

Yep, I observed the same effect here in note 1223 above.   Nobody has responded, but it does happen quite frequently here.

Sky now covered in Cs, temp reached a max of 12.2C after the mist cleared. It is starting to fall slowly again now. Rain seems to be on the way.

Rain has now arrived on the Dorset coast, looks like quite a drenching is coming bright echo's in the channel.

Yep. Pretty wet here, now.

13.4°C was the high today, pretty chilly!

All in all a decent weekend here, after the heavy rain Saturday morning (and all of last week), a mostly sunny Saturday afternoon, today started sunny but cloud edged in from the South East turning it increasingly hazy.

The sunniest day of the month so far here with 6.37 hrs recorded today. 150 metres or so lower down there was no sunshine at all until after midday due to a persistent bank of fog.

Very wet in the South atm and is moving north into the Midlands during the night, looking at the latest BBC weather forecast;

It's pretty much all day tomorrow and into the evening for us here in the Midlands and is going to feel cool even cold in the wind, with temps around 10c-11c mark.

Quite amazing in the light of TM's post to state that today has been the dullest day here for a very long time, lightbulb sunshine at best around lunchtime after a foggy start and then a dark mid to late afternoon with late rain.

Rainfall totals are going to mount up considerably by Wednesday evening with tonight/tomorrow's deluge continuing overnight into early Tuesday and then another bout coming up from the SW midweek.

Coldest maximum here since April 07th at just 11.9C. It really did feel chilly outside doing things in the garden. Light rain now falling and it looks like a wet day to come tomorrow - not the best day to be having new windows fitted!

Yes Andy, A few more meters in alt/topo makes all the difference in these Foggy set-up's. They can be very complicated around the here..

A max of 12.2C here today and a min of +1.0C gives me an avarage today of 6.6C. Thats pretty cool .

Havn't checked up on my records but it is the coldest day in sometime.

As I live in the centre of the UK and in a conurbation, I reckon it could see a drop of about 0.5C in the CET turning it negative for the first time this month. The next 2 days now also look cool and wet.

Opened the file in Windows Photo Gallery, Right click on the photo and Rotate Clockwise / Rotate Anticlockwise as appropriate.

I am not sure if Windows Photo Gallery is on all computers though.

Likewise Gibby, only a few mil in the rain guage. Maybe more will come as it pivots later. Feeling chilly in a nagging breeze at 10.9C.

A windy start to the day with a mean speed of 32 mph, and a gust of 49 mph, around 0730 g.m.t. By 0800 g.m.t the mean speed had decreased to 24 mph, gusting to 41 mph.

The rain was later to arrive than expected ( later than I expected anyway) with nothing at all here until 0530 g.m.t and only 0.2 mm by 0800 g.m.t.
