Another lovely day with blue sky, sunshine and light breezes. Shafali on Midlands Today just said that compared with yesterday, it is much cloudier. Has she actaully been outside or looked at the visible cloud cover radar image?

Fair amount of cloud but sunny spells, 17.3c.

Expecting Saturday's front to be slowed down and give a washout day, purely because the sun never shines on Saturdays

Up to 50mm of very persistent if not heavy drizzle in some spots. Should be sunny by Saturday pm, as the sun drops below the horizon...

50mm of drizzle wow that would be quite something - it will persist a month :)

Wow that's amazing seeing as the minima in most of this regional thread will have been in double figures!

Beautiful day again, plenty of warm sunshine after earlier low cloud, just about nudging 20c.

Clear all night and calm just out of the cloud was West Wales, coldest official place seems to have been nearby Trawsgoed at 1.5c. It did rather surprise me but we are in a very prone spot for frost next to a valley.

Much colder this evening than I was expecting, crystal clear skies and 7.8c now.

Was expecting another 12c+ low with the humid air arriving, brrr.

Here's hoping to getting plenty of North Westerlies/Cheshire Gap streamer's this winter, though probably used them all up in August

No easterlies please! always same grey grot whatever time of year, even -13/14 upper's last March couldn't bring more than a flurry!

Think that is all about to change! Low pressure taking over for the next few days!

Lovely and mild down here as ever. Saturday night and all your minimums will be dropping whilst it retains in double figures here. No need for the heating here for a long time yet. Still having the windows open at night. Bliss. :)

Thick fog here this morning. Rather unexpected as I thought it was going to be restricted to the valleys.

Am I odd to look forward to the rain and colder conditions? Don't know why but I've not enjoyed this long warm dry spell. Might be linked to picking about the only poor weather week to holiday in Devon...

It dipped to 7.6c here in the evening but shot up overnight to be at 15c by 0500!

Warm and quite windy with sunny intervals so far today, max 18.4c.

Overcast with some small areas of broken cloud. Breeze Southerly light 3.1 km/h. temperature a mere 13.7c.

Pretty mild for so early though :)

Possibly the final good washing drying day, not bad considering it's 3rd October, warm sunny spells and Stratocumulus alternating alongside a gusty SW breeze. Above 20c yet again!

Anyone visiting the Beautiful Black Mountains  in Wales tomorrow morning, once that cold front clears will give some beautiful clean air and a bracing wind at the 925 mb chart at around  2,500 ft... IE ..Hay Bluff.  Visibility will be enormous from there,,,,,

We stood in the garden at a very pleasant sunset time with a band of Altocumulus/Cirrus covering the Western sky while it was still clear blue overhead and to the East. I said to my wife that the change from Summer to Autumn was beginning with the frontal cloud approaching and that it will be quite a shock to have (possibly torrential) rain and gales tomorrow morning then a sunny fresh afternoon.
