Overcast and bright with a much stronger breeze than recently, 14.8c.

Any reason why there's so much convective stratocumulus exploding from the east behind the main cloud again, usually by this time of year there's next to nill of it but it's exploding and spreading out like it's Mid July?

Sun as just started to show it's face here, wasn't expecting anything/if anything till this afternoon.... :)

This will be the main headache for the forecasters this coming week... Cloud cover (will it, won't it)

Temps looking good though and may warm up even higher come the end of the week :D

Hazy sunshine at time but mostly cloudy. Windy and 18.5°C

I found a site a while ago, which logs my Netatmo data. They've added some fancy ways of showing data, including this choropleth..

Hazy sunshine a keen breeze but warm again, currently on 19c.

The feared breakdown never really happens in the coming week:

Once again the cloud has invaded from the East.... Back to full on cloud cover and when the sun is in, with that breeze it's a little on the cool side  http://www.sat24.com/en-gb/gb :nonono:

Lots of cloud, interspersed with sunny spells - feeling warm at 21c, even with the breeze! Bone dry again - ground is rock hard (trying to dig!)

Looking interesting for some thundery showers next week and up to 25c - autumn can wait,

Groundhog day again today with thick cloud until midday, breaking up into convective stratocumulus and some sunny breaks. Very similar afternoons to August only the mornings were completely sunny and there was a bit more breeze.

Rather an intriguing forecast from Ian Fergusson on Points West. I had thought this region would be waiting until Thursday for any chance of showers however there are scattered showers likely to move up from the South later tonight and the threat is there through tomorrow with him mentioning the risk of them being thundery.

I would expect the initial showers to come from AltCas type cloud given the direction they are coming from, unfortunately the likely low cloud/mist in the morning will make the interesting clouds invisible.

Also mention on the national forecast of scattered possibly thundery showers if the sun is prevalent tomorrow. Fingers crossed! It tried to rain here this afternoon but only managed spots, albeit big spots.

Been a misty and foggy morning so far, but seems to be slowly brightening up. Hopefully a thundery shower will break through later and defeat the storm shields of those who want one. :good:

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
