A squall like feature has just gone through here, best I've seen for a few years. Rain and wind was insane, a proper whiteout! I'll post the details of rain when it stops.

Have had some seriously heavy rain again this morning, torrential at times, and now there's quite a bit of lfooding around locally. Stopped now though with brighter skies edging in from the southwest.

That was amazing! It's still going it for it now but during the main bit, rainfall rate reached 148mm/hr. 10mm of that fell in 15 minutes.

Rain, rain, and yet more rain here.

7.50mm so far today, with plenty more heading this way judging by the radar.

Looks like this could be a seriously wet month especially if we don't get the possible easterly and cold. A rain machine setup for the next week or so at least. Can see more flooding especially for the south.

Don't worry it looks like a bit of patchy light rain to us hardened west country folk after last years autumn that lasted 6 months..   :hi:

2.2mm had fallen up until 50 minutes ago, total is now over 18mm. That was one of the best rainfall episodes I've seen in a long time. Love it! :D

Squall line has passed through with some phenomenal rainfall. Was passing through Broadstone and became drenched just getting to the car park. Arrived home in the lull and second attack has just cruised over us, roads are well and truly flooded.

Yep. I cannot belive the longevity and intensity of it, it's still raining quite hard now. 22mm has fallen now, it'll be in excess of an inch with the rain later.

Cripes, not a patch on northern Italy and Switzerland by the looks of it! Looks like some southerly tracking lows on that.

Everywhere around Bournemouth is flooded, traffic is just slow everywhere. No wonder really, I measured 259mm/hour in the downpour.

We have escaped the worst of the rain. We had some light moderate stuff for an hour this morning, then nothing since. Some of you guys seem to be getting hit hard.

After this morning's torrential downpour, we are still seeing localised flooding. So far today I have 36mm and it's still raining. What an event.

Wow. Some large rain totals today! That squall earlier was awesome.

25.5mm yesterday and 21.3mm today so a wet two days! It improved throughout the day though and now it's cool with clear skies so a chillier night to come and hopefully a brighter day to come tomorrow.
