What a waste of warmth, dull and dreary all day here yet again!!! thus a max of 17.7c so nothing to exceptional in the end, only just brightening up now the suns about to set.

In standard Shropshire fashion now it's pitch black it's crystal clear out there

Gorgeous tropical evening, ironically now warmer than it was all day up to 18.5c

Same story here Connor. As the sun set in the west behind the clouds still, the moon shone brilliantly in the ESE. It has continued to do so ever since.

Temperature dropped back to 16.4C now, and I recorded 21.8C earlier in the murky cloud.

Love your username Midlands Ice Age, If Only If Only. :D

The last Ice Age gave ice that was almost unthinkable, at the height of the last ice age where Birmingham is now, it was two miles thick :shok: ....If Only If Only. :whistling::D

Just realised my shovel is missing!

How will I get to replace the batteries...

Where will I be able to place my weather recording station if i'm 2miles under the ice!

Will my station be able to receive the data from the recorder at that depth?

These are real concerns Dancer. Any suggestions?

Oh well I missed the 2009 -10 snow falls and still lived, so I keep hoping.

Ever the optimist

Some sun here this morning and early afternoon, but I share the frustrations of many on here on the awfulness of theweather for the past fortnight to be honest.

At least it wasn't cold. Temps around 17c at 9pm in October. :shok:

Sunny, but cool, this morning with just one or two odd little clouds raiding the skies of Solihull at the moment. Temperature is around 13*C with pressure around 1014 hPa.

Just a couple of pics of some October weather stats for here. A very wet month, and 2.2°C above my own average.

Temps peaked at 17.4°C here. Very blustery now though, ahead of the frontal system. It did provide a couple of nice pics..
