A low of 15°C this morning, remarkable!

Currently 15.3°C and absolutely piddling down. 8.9mm so far.

Yes but we did well yesterday - I had expected it to be overcast in the morning - so i got that one wrong! This is the real  of being the first landfall of moist southerlies, but also why I am a bit hopeful for later this winter.

Have a look at my previous two posts. :p

Not a drop of rain despite the forecast of heavy rain yesterday evening and light rain overnight — roads and car dry. We may pick up some rain as the band moves back north and invigorates.

At 10.3C much cooler and more seasonal feeling. There are even glimmers of blue sky and brightness.

Hi all, new to the forum, looks like a busy place!

I reside in Towcester, Northamptonshire, and certainly there's a big difference between yesterday and today's weather.  Not so much in terms of temperatures but in terms of cloud - unbroken sunshine yesterday morning and early afternoon, now it's dull, damp and drizzly - very November like really, just a couple of days early!

Look forward to communicating with you all. :)

I can't quite believe the rain we're having here lol

22.1mm, 7.2mm in the last hour and it's torrential at the moment.

After yesterday's gorgeous return to summer today is far more Autumnal although still very muggy with light showers/drizzle. It was interesting earlier this morning as the low level clouds were moving N-S as the radar showing rain moving SW-NE, this continued until around 08.00 when movement switched back to the opposite direction as the Warm Front took over.

3.4mm fell overnight and a further 2.6mm as the front came back so, a grand total so far of 6mm.

Same forecast gives me 7 cm too but I doubt it will happen although I do remember November 4th having 6 inches of snow 2 years ago. :clapping:

19/20c Friday maybe, absolutely tipping it down at the minute despite relatively quiet radar.

Somewhat clearer today than yesterday, can see the pier in Bournemouth this morning, and decidedly warmer @ 14.4°C.

Scary stuff mid - high teens as we approach November, autumn is certainly not keen to let go.

Back to being very mild today with a light southerly breeze, cloudy skies and temperatures already at 15.0C. Incredible.

I was intending to go out on my bike for a couple of hours this morning but with 60 mt visibility I'll err on the side of caution and give it a miss. Pity because the temperature is ideal at 12c and there's just a light southerly breeze.
