Definitely going to see some rain tonight with some being heavy. Again, thunder is another question though recently I have caught most of the thunderstorm which a while ago rarely happened strangely... Good luck everyone, hope you see at least a flash.

Ok. Thanks for the thunder reports peeps..thread is down for maintenance overnight lol :)

Haha this is the time of year when the coast comes into its own now as the warm seas create vigorous convection with the colder airmasses. I know Falmouth had quite a few thunderstorms just last Christmas when I was back at home in the Midlands. Some real loud, violent ones apparently.

Can't beat viewing the night sky after the rain has cleared the atmosphere is clear of all the cr@p. Great views early this morning after last nights rain. Presently 8C.

Not much of anything here overnight. No thunder and barely any rain, it just split and went around us! Temp dropped to 2.4C at one point, but has not recovered to a chilly 5.9C.

It's chilly ( current temp' is 5.2c ) and foggy here this morning with light rain as the area of showery rain moves up from the south. The local forecast keeps talking of the possibility of thunder from this but the heavier rain seems to be concentrated over south east England.

A low of 7.1C, currently 12.8C and blue skies.

There were a couple of showers and a few rumbles of thunder around 2:30am. Another 5.3mm of rain from them.

Brief very heavy hail shower here, completely of hailstones, also from a very non-suspecting cloud. Just shows the instability of the atmosphere at the moment.
