wow, 218 pages and finally the last thread is confined to the annuls of history.

So here's a squeaky clean thread for the forthcoming transition from summer to autumn, so please carry on here

The temperature has gone up to around 17*C here (if the phone's weather app is to be believed), but fairly sunny with some patches of fluffy white cloud scattered about. Seems to be one of those cases where it appears to be brighter and drier over the Southern Midlands, and more cloudier and showery further North.

Beautiful day tad breezy but nothing to worry about, sun still feels very strong so has completely modified this cool northwesterly, temps in the late teens with strong sun is perfectly summer like, most of you are way too hung up on actual temperature readings, go out and enjoy the beautiful weather :)

Not here though unfortunately, maxed out at 16.8c here with very little sunshine all afternoon, gusty 30mph winds and several showers thrown in to boot.

It's been nice here today :) for peeps that are in the NorthWest of our patch must be very unlucky not to see much sunshine today, because looking at Sat 24 it shows things aren't that bad if you ask me!

Yes a very sunny day actually and not much cloud at all. However it's too cool at 19c. Tuesday looks horrifically cool at 15c. How can ANYONE enjoy this temperature? Shockingly cool August.

Been one of those days where it's virtually clear to the south, plenty of blue sky to the north & east but a steady stream of cloud obscuring the sun coming in from the west, textbook Telford Sun Shield day

I'd admit it would be nice to see a Cheshire Gap shower setup this Winter that packs a real cold punch to produce snow/wintry showers, rather than showers of just rain. I know snow isn't everyone's ideal weather, but for those that enjoy wintry weather, it would just seem like a waste of a North-Westerly airflow if it doesn't drag down cold enough 850 hPa temperatures to produce low-level snow showers.

Apparently brushed 20C here today. Have just arrived back from Crete where it was in the mid thirties to a very cool 14C at present. Having driven down the M4 from Gatwick in blinding sunshine, the heavens opened from that cell crossing the Bristol Channel, five minutes away from home. Autumn is definitely here!

Know what you mean Conor..this would be one of those classic North Westerly snow streamers which have a very enjoyable tendency to dump several inches of snow even to lower levels.

In August tho...yuk!

No complaints here! 18.5°C and sunny.

I've just been sat in the garden with a pint of tea, feels warm in the sun.

Bright earlier this morning but now cloud and cool with the temperature dropping again after an early high of 18.5C.
