Nah not just yet here either, however started to get really cool in the evenings and chilly first thing at 6am. Won't be long until we will have to succumb!

Still plenty of warmth in the house, windows open this afternoon to bring it down to a comfortable 20c.

Certainly was chilly leaving work at 3am last night though.

No need yet still at 19C downstairs, but outside has been mainly 12C or less today with 'wintry' showers from the north - it will soon chill down in the house and tomorrow looks worse.

still haven't turned on my heating since moving back to the UK I expect another winter without the need. Actually not even sure the heating works as I have never used it.

I don't live in a house but an apartment..fortunately I have nice old couple who live below me whom I sure do like it nice and toasty I benefit from their generosity.

Strict rule in our house that the heating doesn't go on before November 1st. If it gets cold in late October we normally put the fire on and sit in the lounge but we've only done that in 2008 and 2010 as our house is very well insulated and generally doesn't get too cold too easily.

I still have my window on the latch at night to keep fresh air coming in.

On Monday we had to fire up the stove to dry all the wet clothes and washing after Bank Holiday camping in the Rain. Nice to have actual heat again.

Will light a small fire in the log burner later just to keep the overnight chill off.

Well, yes and no...

We haven't turned the heating on, but it appears someone's got a remote stat on the same channel as ours as ours as it keeps randomly turning on!

Been up in the loft and knocked the combi onto hot water only, for now!

Had the chimney swept last week though so the fires ready to be used :)

We just got new, highly efficient windows so I am hoping we can avoid using it except for in the real cold snaps. Already noticing the warmth/draught difference compared to the 30yr old upvc we had before, it was falling apart!

Heating is not yet on but it will probably be worth my while to sweep the chimney out soon ready for those odd chillier evenings.
