Hi Lassie, the one in flight could easily be mistaken for an owl but this is the classic profile of a starling in flight and the others sitting in the tree are also starlings....

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I was really convinced that the one in flight was an owl!

After 2 weeks of sitting below heavy monsoonal cloud it's finally breaking to give us the first bit of morning colour to the sky for this year.

It's great when the 'weather dice' fall just the right way. That evening started to look like a write-off with all the heavy cloud. But last minute the cloud over the horizon moved and all the nearer cloud was set ablaze.  And I may be biased but silhouetted palm trees against a sunset just add a little bit of magic.

Just come back from Cumbria and what a stunning few days it was,this was a sunset of last Saturday evening(7/2/2015) whilst me and my mate was heading up towards/past the foothill of Great gable,these are genuine pics and was not tampered with,hope you like
