Today's maximum here was 13.5c, hardly summer and what happened to all of the so called warm air wrapped up in the system.I witnessed the edge of a hurricane whilst on holiday in the Caribean a few years ago and yes it was wet, yes it was windy but it was also warm. Here it just feels like November.

Yes, I'm gonna take a nice hot bath!! I hope it snows next week!! lol. :D

To be honest cooling down is a good thing as we approaching for Autunm. If cools down further during Sept-Oct, we may see early snowfall, if we lucky.

Quite an exciting days weather really, 20mm rain, thunder, low pressure, then Cbs this afternoon, quite windy but highest gust just 29mph as we are sheltered by a hill to the west.

32mms of rain today, and coupled with the other days rain we have virtually reached our average rainfall for August! Looks like Bertha has kicked us in for a well above average rainfall month!!!

Absolutely wild now ,horrible wouldn't want to be building playing card towers outside tonight !!....

Look on the bright side, after today's weather, anything is an improvement. What we need is an Express headline of heavy rain and gales for the next six months then we can get the BBQ out again.

I've had several hours of heavy and persistent rain in Lothian (SE Scotland) and it went dark very early today. Waiting for the winds tonight to add to it all

looks like Scotland got alot of rain whole of the country under yellow red band rain set to stay for awhile.  Must be a lot of flooding up there.

There looks to be a large area of showers coming into NW England from the Irish Sea.

Wet and windy night coming up by the looks of it.

Well it rained here to about 2pm and we've just had a shower but thankfully that line of storms decided to get going after it went through here to my relief

did seem to knock out my satellite signal for a few minutes though
