It missed here. A bit of light rain this morning, other than that, breezy but not a day to write off.

Sorry, but I'd call this more than breezy especially Wareham.

Best potential swiftly passing East now. Just some pulse type storms probably the best bet for western parts now imo. Fairly dynamic rainfall for most.

Well, unless you're here, you wouldn't know? Westerlies don't have much of an impact here, too many obstacles

Poss supercell? Strobe lightning and flash floods, hail, whole darn lot.

Seems to be taking a distinct right turn

And all of a sudden, it's stopped raining. Heavy showers moving up through Doncaster right now.

Just caught the edge of that storm passing over Oxfordshire at the moment. The raindrops in it are huge, some gusty winds with clouds moving along very quickly and at low altitude. The thunder was too far north to hear properly though, although there was quite a bit.

Well that was fun for 20 minutes. Biblical rainfall and constant thunder and lightning. Now drifting off to the south east looking at it

Yep saw it all the south east and north of me.. But rolled by without a squeak or dribble.. A34 looks like it is getting a pummelling upto Oxford ..

Steady rain in carlisle for much of late morning till now, no wind or even a breeze. Is there much more wind and rain to come.

What's the latest on a second low, what would that bring

It will definitely not bring snow..!!! :vava:

Squeal line formed, which I had read about yesterday. A lot drier here, no wind again, but showers expected soon.

Blimey! We had that or similar on Friday, I had to pull over as I didn't feel safe driving.

Same here, the heaviest rain I have ever experienced. And driving a convertible isn't the ideal choice when you can't even hear the radio let alone see out the window!!

Looks like Bertha is focusing all her energy on the T-storm to get explode into a supercell.

Thunderstorm here now! Thunder typically a few miles away and first thunder heard was at 13:51. A rumble every minute or so and heavy rain, although not quite biblical!

Rain moved away but the wind has suddenly picked up. Nice big shelf cloud approaching but can't see anything on radar that's interesting. Are we expecting storms to break out in the west?? Winds really picking up now

That squall line certainly has developed over last half hour.. And after it passed Newbury! Just very sunny here, but as for those to the east of that line.. Hold onto your hats.. And that Oxford one does seem to linger. West London and southern counties are in for a surprise.. Any reports? .. Ill just check twitter .

Edit: that squall line is maassive!! Right from Yorkshire right down to the coast. Reports peeps reports. Get them video cameras ready..
