Currently raining heavily here, no wind, but that's expected. Reckon this evening will see the worst wind gusts.

Wow that's amazing, can clearly see the low centre west of Wales. Should expect another to form west of that during the day, if forecasts are to go by.

The rain's just started here and it looks like it might last for quite a while. After the deluge on Friday, I think weather warnings for rain here are definitely justified.

Well, a little disappointed this morning. The wind is barely damaging well it isn't at all but we've had quite a lot of rain so that's good. I have a feeling that when the wind direction backs W later this morning, the wind should increase to gale force but currently wind gusts are only touching 24 mph which is a little disappointing to say we were forecasted nearly 40 mph wind gusts.

Rain's just started here and the breeze is gradually picking up although the forecast shows our strongest winds for later this afternoon.

Looks like it could potentially get quite nasty in NW England as the storm passes into the North Sea.

It looks like it's rained a little overnight but couldn't have been that windy as no branches or twigs on the floor, currently not very windy at all in Exeter, Devon....

Thought it was going to be really windy? I guess maybe later when the wind direction changes

drizzle here, in fact as it has been for most of the night.....yet lively weather with torrential rain and thunderstorms 50 miles to the north and south....just goes to show an absolute nightmare for forecasters to accurately pinpoint where severe weather will hit,no doubt though that there will be some on here later that will moan at the forecasts because an EF2 tornado didn't appear in their own back garden!.......

back to the weather in hand, the radar is certainly messy with pockets of heavy rain embedded in the air mass with clearer weather behind the cold front, although some lively downpours in the post frontal air mass are developing readily off the Welsh Coast and also heading into the Bristol Channel

ESTOFEX level 2 for most of England and Wales including up here! Don't think I've EVER SEEN THAT!

This is for severe convective winds and tornadoes, and also large hail.

We have thunder...

....and lightning. wind picking up a bit, but no more than breezy. Steady rain with some heavier bursts mixed in.

Bit of a non event here to be honest, had only 4.5mm since midnight, and there is little to wind to speak of.

Yes, only a small limb of one of our maple trees that's getting quite weak I think but yes later looks better for us as WNW can be quite a good funnel through here.

Current satellite looking energetic, that Estofex forecast is poetry for lively weather

Like this one from Eumetsat showing birth of Berth and the full recurve over the Atlantic Basin, you can see the impact of the jet providing the cannon ball slingshot.

Chucking it down here! Wind has quite suddenly sprung up from the S-SE too. Loving the Estofex level 2, hoping to get a storm today.

A total non event here on west Mendip    so far .a total of 8mm of rain since 11 pm last night ,and currently no wind ,just looking dark and misty ,probably will get lively as the centre of the low pulls away and some lively showers get going .but some parts of the country do look to be more lively going by radar ,and a line of sorts setting up to my far west right now .perhaps Bertha will have a sting in her tail for me .
