Disappointed to see how close that storm is. Close but no cigar.

I'm in Kettering and I am waiting!

The Daventry one may reach you!

Having missed everything so far this year, I hope so. But I'd expect it to die out first

The Daventry one may reach you!

One Coventry PWS had 17mm in less than an hour just:

EDIT: Make that 21mm in about one hour

Midlands storm appears to be dying off now. Tasty looking cell appeared to be brewing over Yeovil way with our name on it but dunno if that's got what it takes...

Still got the rest of the weekend to go - and Tuesday morning :-)

I'm going tithe pub in a minute so don't want any rain just yet anyway :-)

It rearly was heavy coming over the gutters at the front of the house.

North of the city worst affected, the 21mm was Whitmore Park, less than 3mm SE Coventry around Binley.

There's one now. Hopefully it will miss and give me a proper storm not seen for years.

The northernmost one of the cluster seems to have Sheffield on it

The thunder is very stuttery and muffled at the moment. No lightning seen. Moderate rain as the main core is still to the WSW.

Thunder every minute or so, getting louder. Long drawn out rolls of thunder too. Beautiful!

Torrential rain now. Absolutely epic rainfall rates I imagine!

Anything likely for us south westerners?Rain alarm keeps going nuts but haven't seen a drop all day and we really need some.

Drove through torrential rain on the M4 this afternoon between Swindon and Chippenham - visibility right down and windscreen wipers on full.

Serious flooding likely in Chesterfield. Frequent angry thunder to the south, lightning observed, and a slow moving train of torrential precip heading through Chesterfield as we speak. Big flood problems expected there I think.
