Well - wow. Watched the cell which moved across north london develop as it went over Chorleywood. Amazing bubbling undulating skies with no wind rain or lightning.

Got electrical as it passed over Hertford but by then I couldn't keep up!

Wondering if anything is likely later on today or is that it for the more convective stuff?

Living in this area, you'd be wondering what all the fuss was about! Friday night was worse

Ah that explains it. Knew it wasn't a direct hit here. Didn't last long did it?

I shall be renaming Chesterfield the new Lincolnshire at this rate :) Still absolutely nothing here, after the last few weeks I am starting to fear that Derby has attained a storm shield. Still some heavy showers over SW Wales, they may just make it into the Midlands. One or two sferics on that band.

Draw an imaginary line from say Welshpool, Ludlow across to Kiddy? Up until then those thundery blobs will hold before fizzling out to mod rain showers...Before building up again Whitchurch, Stafford across to Lichfield. Then of course Derby :)Fancy a bet lol.

Sounds like a deal, as I will be sure to win. Now if you had said building up again just after Derby and hitting Nottingham then Lincolnshire I would not have bet as this is what will happen. Agreed on them dying past the imaginary line though. £10 on they don't fire back up until past Derby :)

Damage in Hull looks quite bad, those trees look to have been snapped in half. Could still be powerful straight line winds though as these can sometimes mimic the damage caused by tornadoes. Would be interested in if there were any eye witnesses as looks like an area with houses.
