I don't think I can ever remember Rain so Heavy last for such a long period. Heavy rain now and visibility poor again..

It's just relentless

You should end up over 50mm

Some serious flooding being reported here, Horns bridge area especially!

Bottom of my garden is for the 4th time this year, like a river!

Great little storm that was!

Wow, impressive picture! We have standing water on the roads but we missed a lot of the heaviest rain. In fact, the most persistent rain we've had is the thundery stuff we're under right now.

Bloodstock festival is by the banks of the Trent, being fed-in from the Derwent to the north, I wonder if this might have any impact on the event during the weekend given the amount of PPN now dumped over the eastern peaks.

Basically been thundering since 3pm. Some bright flashes recently, and torrential rain for good measure. Very dark. A good day all in all.

That's about the amount that fell during the the Newcastle storm on the 28th of June 2012 which

caused some serious flooding.

Was quite fun driving home from work through some flooded roads. Some complete idiots were going at full pelt through huge puddles at the side of A roads.

I've never seen our garden flooded before but it is now. Loads of close lightning and loud thunder, shotgun style at times. And still its raining very hard. Easy 2 inches today. Still thunder crackling around too. Am very impressed!
