and Portsmouth misses out again :)

Yes, the two areas of the storm diverged and went either side of us!

Storms seem to be reforming as they hit the sea, might get some nice claps soon, IOW might get something

storms fairly close by now.....lightning strikes detected 15 miles to my east...still sunny and hot currently, but big anvils stretching across the northern and eastern skies

Had a brief thundery shower with three flashes and bangs and that was it. Weakened by the time it got here but still better than nothing would like to think we may get something later but looks unlikely

I think we pushed our luck with the Thunderstorms we had last Thursday night, we couldn't of been in better position!

I'm keeping my eye on the cells North of London, could be interesting!

Next year , maybe even this, I am saying glued to Keraunos and heading to Calais overnight camping...

Keep an eye on the one in SW Essex, it's very lively and intensifying, good luck!

Looks like even Somerset might get something today judging by the radar. Whether anything thundery ,remains to be seen.

Not a drop of rain today here but thundering most of the day, the very nature of these hit n miss torrential storms, took a drive to Wat Tyler earlier and was in torrential rain just 4 miles from my house so you dont have to go far!

Sky going very dark again to the NE, thought we just heard thunder but it could have been people moving about upstairs.

Come on for the hat-trick!! :yahoo:

Is that a 1020 I see. What software do you use for time lapse?

And to stay on topic... clearing up now... seems to have fizzled out right over me.

It is! :DI use Timelapse pro or Pro shot in conjunction with the camera grip.A few strikes showing up just 37KM east of here, dark clouds that way but not sure if it'll make it here.
