That is insane, I have never seen lightning like what is showing on that mass heading towards Brighton

Stay safe everyone

I love watching storms exploding over mainland Europe on the cloud radar, they literally look like atomic bombs, really cool to see one pushing into SE England.

This could be the understatement of the year but wow. Lightning is right over my head looks to be cloud based, so dark street lamps have come on and got very windy.

Hmm very dark just south of me.. no rumbles or anything but, just wondering if its drawing in the hot air from london that it may explode on the northern side and expand??

Meto amber warning doesn't begin until Midnight, still ample time for that lot in the channel to start off the show and make the SE msc look like a firecracker.

Sky is looking quite dark now to the south east of Basingstoke. Looking like something could potentially happen here soon.

Precisely...in many ways this is an aperitif! Expect much more widespread destabilisation later!!

The beast has breached our defences :D This may be newsworthy! I wouldn't discount an significant weather event.

Edit: I love how most go unaware of what is to come, this is what makes this forum such a special place.

Last nights storms already were and so are tonight's. It has been said that these are going to be even more severe. Someone got struck last night it was on radio 1 however it wasn't direct and she was ok.
