My best chance is if the showers over the Liverpool Bay Area turn thundery.

Lightning strikes certainly seem to av died down now. Nm we usually have a few hot days then a storm. Next week is hot all week so maybe more storms when that comes to an end

Wonder if this;

post-12721-0-98511300-1405796130_thumb.j

can make it to Bristol before decaying. I'm doubtful but hopeful at the same time. One last rumble would be nice.

I'm in east Kent, hoping we get some of that western half of the storm over northern France/the channel.

It was quite noisy with plenty of CC stuff but too far from me to be really good.

An unforgettable day here, perfect summer weather, hot and sunny with a pleasant breeze. My acre + of garden looks fantastic especially after that nice drop of rain this morning, nothing's been trashed or damage, haven't had to worry about looking at the radar or anything because the air here is as stable as a North Sea oil platfom  :DBeen laying paving and working in the veg garden whilst the other poor saps have been stuck indoors because it's been raining  :D

Sea mist Mokidugway? Doncaster lightning map was quite interesting for a while as was showing lightning at Isle of Man, however blitzortung wasn't showing this. If anything was there it has died out anyway. Never mind.....

It just about made it to S Northampton before dying - we had lots of thunder then torrential rain with hail. Looks like the cause was the overhang from the French storms getting this far N.

I am suprised, this is the back end structure, still strong - maybe you weren't in the firing line.

I took the A5 down to Towcester - piccy on previous page somewhere, then the giant raindrops started so swung east to stay ahead - rea;lised that this wasn't working so cut southwards across country through Blisworth and Roade. The hail here was 5p sized, intermingled with torrential rain. Headed up the 519 to the motorway which was like a river, 20 mph max with standing water.

The cell on the welsh border is getting its act together. This one could be our last chance for the North-west.
