Plenty of lightning to the north not heard any thunder though.

I assure you SN, there is absolutely NOTHING happening in the Stoke area lol!

Must be some anvil crawlers, the lightshow was sporadic at times from S to SW, no visual lightning seen but the flashes were intense and considering the brum cell is some 60-odd miles you can see how my elevation here in the peaks helps with things. Obviously the only audible noise hearing tonight are the village drunks now it's chucking out time.

Everything is going off now! It even looks like the lucky gets in East Sussex may get another battering!

Lucky buggers.

Dark as Louis Armstrong's armpits here.

Tomorrow is looking promising but I'm disappointed. Thought this would be the best storm in a long time.

Storms exploding over the Home Counties now. Another area of interest for South-East England crossing the channel and then a little later on, further developments over North France heading Northwards.

Looks like SE is about to be "pounded" again..

Central South getting hit now and building like something out of hell.

South west gonna be hit in the next few hours I think.

Oh yeah it dissipated just before it got to you, didn't it? Unlucky!

Yeah. I just got the edge of it. Was very tame. Hardly any thunder and a few flashes.

Typical that I went to sleep last night not expecting a storm and we had a cracker, woke up fot the last 10 minutes.

Looked forward to tonight, when I thought it would all go off, and nothing happens. There's still chances, but it's doubtful. Tomorrow is my best chance.

Some brilliant lightning to the SE at first and now the NE. Storm seems to be passing to the east of here but have had some anvil crawlers and 'treebranch' type lightning. Need stuff to be a tad further west!

Lots of elevated lightning to my south / southeast. Looks like the new cells south of Eastbourne in the Channel are becoming increasingly electrified. Lovely!

Thats great, ok, Now the plan to intercept it. Its moving too fast to get to brighton in time, so needs to be somewhere down the A22/A23....

Lynxus. .I don't think we'll get much until the cell, presently over Wester-super Mare, reaches us. As you see/hear it's gone a bit quiet. The rest is slipping by just to our  east..I'm in Abbeydale.

Here's Staverton Airport cam-Live. http://www.camsecure.co.uk/GloucesterAirportWebcam.html

Problem about getting out to a higher location for photos is, will be,the rain.

Bristol Airport must be getting bad weather, there is three Easyjet planes doing loops away from the airport waiting to land.

Welcome! Yep, no aeroplane activity from my side at least (I live under the flight path). Storm passing just to its east with a lot of lightning.

Well good luck! That's why I'm pulling an all-nighter. :)

Trouble is if I pull an all nighter I guarantee you when I have a nap tomorrow the super duper will hit the fan. Can't win.

Don't know whether to wait up or not.

Storms building to the south are having that look of 'last night' about them. Lightning is starting to be as frequent. Could build into another monster.

Feel like I'm being greedy after what I've already seen today but that cell leaving Dieppe looks very active and is heading to Camber again (get's in car and starts the engine again !!!)
