Cells formed infront of the main line, and it is now merging together!

Looking very eerie on Brumcam!

Doesn't look as active as it was an hour ago IMO. The one in France is impressive given the size.

What a horrible day here, been under cloud all day.

Happy that you guys down south are having fun!

Does anyone think that storm just passing Durham is coming my way?

Is this likely to be it for those west of Brum? Once the front has passed through I presume that's that?

Just a reminder that posts bemoaning the lack of storms at their location belong in here:

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/80928-no-storms-hate-storms-post-your-storm-related-moans-and-groans-here/

If your post has disappeared it has most likely been moved there.

Meanwhile, lightning activity seems to have dropped off a little from this line now.

.....outflow triggered from the main storm, lets hope this organises and doesnt turn into a convective mess! Its reachin quite far south, maybe thats what the Heathrow mets were anticipating..

I'd say it's a fairly safe bet I'm afraid. East of Brum still have it all to play for.

Earlier Wiltshire storm cluster seems to be decaying with new cells forming on the eastern side in the outflow all rapidly pushing ENE, also a lovely cell north of Andover that I'm watching with the current track I may see it later on if it holds together. Sun is out now with blue skies here and some cumulus development. Temp has risen to 25.2'c in the last hour.

I wonder whether it might backbuild and join up with echoes appearing just west of Winchester

Seems to be happening..

Frequent thunder starting to drown out the noise of the Motorcycle Road Racing which is still ongoing(!) at Oliver's Mount here in Scarborough.

Light rain galore here. As if we don't get enough of that through a year. Really hoping for something to give some thunder and lightning but now looks quite unlikely with all forecasts showing nothing over here today, a huge contrast to yesterday when all forecasts had everything over this way. I live in hope :D

I feel your pain !!!.....

In Kingston here a few miles from Heathrow and there's barely a cloud in the sky, very hot and humid bit doesn't feel as if we've got a thunderstorm incoming any time soon. Some convection towards London but nothing out west

I traveled from Iffendic, France to Ile De Re, France, today. In Ile De Re it is currently pleasantly warm with a nice light W wind and mostly sunny with just a bit of high level cloud including altocumulus castellanus cloud.

Apologies for the slew of posts that i have made!  :p Just rather exited, this storm seems to be taking the same track as the supercell which hit here back in June

Heading for East of Derby and then East of here if it survives, but it is by no means dying yet!

Looks like Gordan is going to take a direct hit in Bedworth  :blink2:

starting to cloud over here again, not looking like there will be more storms here today, at least we had one decent but brief one earlier.

Pretty early in the day to call a bust (Certainly on this side of the country) considering it took until mid evening last night for good activity to reach us..!

I hear constant, distant rumbles. But there isn't anything particularly near according to the radar/lightning detector!

Active cell now firing up north of Hungerford, should head towards Oxford.
