Sky gone very dark to my N and NE...can confirm thunder.

Come on baby...

The East Anglian storm is dying out now. Maybe its due to the sea breeze.

The storms grew because of the sea breeze, not died because of it.

The heavy showers around Stamford (sferics spotted) seem to be travelling south east on a collision course with the Chelmsford stuff (lots of sferics)  which is travelling a more north west direction! What will the result of a collision of these two??

It must've just fizzled out?

Thats what i'm thinking, the rain coming in behind killed the on shore breeze, which in turn killed the convergence line.

Torrential rain & lights keep flashing on & off - time to get candles out! Getting really really humid now.

My storm seems to have lost it, gone from getting more and more thunder to nothing..

I'm not too sure. I think if it continues on it's present course you should see,and hopefully hear, some good activity.

Three rumbles of thunder but that's it so far.

Am in Corringham. Has been going for the past half an hour & rain is really bad - thunderbolt just now. How I hate thunderstorms - bad experience with one when I was younger.

I love them. Especially at night. The recent ones have been quite special, especially the lightning
