I am suprised, this is the back end structure, still strong - maybe you weren't in the firing line.

Could see it coming ok, sadly electricital activity seemed to fade and it flattened out just to my sw. Never mind can't win em all!!

Had nothing more than distant thunder since May. Very dissapointed! Not a single proper storm since then!

Hope this works, I've made it 8 times faster than it was filmed. Was certainly a spectacle and very majestic in the way it rotated. I was mesmerised!

As expected, cell over Somerset starting to decay now it's approaching Bristol.

Ah well, done well over the last 48hrs anyway, at least I can get some kip tonight.

We got a nice one this afternoon, no visible lightning but lots of thunder and heavy rain. We stayed out the whole time doing the garden...lovely!

Still feeling hot and humid, looks like another possibility of a night time or over night elevated storm. Seems to be creeping further north.

Find it interesting that mid and west get homegrown and east likely to get imports.

Looks like it could be sucking in the moisture on the way up as it's adding more to the front of it as it goes. Keep an eye out for a gust front will you :)

The cell on the welsh border is getting its act together. This one could be our last chance for the North-west.

People cycling out in Oxfordshire under that cell. Followed it for miles and nearly saw a funnel.Looked like something off I the Great Plains ! Amazing

Could have been me! I've just got back from a cycle ride wih a friend from Oxford. We sheltered in Church Hanborough Church during the thunderstorm - heavy rain, regular thunder and a bit of lightning.

Had a thunderstorm in Sandhutton at 6:30 to 7:30pm, frequent lightning to the south as it approached, although the lightning died out as the cell passed overhead.

Ive just been out, I thought I heard a deep rumble of thunder to the south, thought I was going barking mad, or it was just suggestive (ie me wanting to believe it was thunder).. just checked out the radar and there's a big shower around Wrexham, on course for Chester and Northwards. It may well die out before it gets here, but nice to see.
