Interesting clouds here, all moving rapidly, but higher clouds moving SE to NW and lower clouds moving very fast from W to E. Sea breeze?

My view to the SW, can see the showers in Wales. Really warm too.

That's incredible given our relative proximity. Just illustrates how forecasting can never be an exact science! We've got virtually wall to wall clag here! Although brightened up a touch in last ten mins. Some patches of blue starting to form.

Giving it until 9pm myself before heading into town for a refreshing pint, can't complain about this early mornings action which has been one of the best night storms for a good few years.

Slept through Thursday nights storms, as was not expecting any, then nothing last night apart from some flashes in the distance, nothing today, so watching with interest what is coming out of France at the minute, certainly temp and humidity has gone up in the last hour!

I'll give that cell in the Channel another 30 min and then head down to Camber again. Almost same time as yesterday's  Gust front hit the same area. Unreal !!!

Just rang me mother in Bolsover and she was adamant that a tornado had hit. Massive trees at the bottom of her garden were bent in half with the extreme ferocity of the wind. And a foot of flood water

Looks like the supercell in Yorkshire is died out now after it torns through the country.

Well while you lot are enjoying frantic amounts of lightning, continuous thunder and raindrops like oranges I managed to hear my first distant rumble from a storm over Bridgwater, so there. :-)

According to Doncaster lightning map that nice cluster that was around Manchester has now moved to the south of Cumbria. Is anyway able to confirm? Thanks.
