Looks like Kent is in for two days in a row of clobbering, with three storms in the space of 18-24 hours. Damn Kent.

Have my doubts those cells over France will make it today.  Seems like they are becoming less active as well.

As the storm rumbles its' way towards Chesterfield I have to ask myself what the chances might be of that cell near Swindon making its way all the way north to here?

The answer has to be 'vanishingly small', at least in its current state, so I think that might be it for today .

It's a super cell and moving ENE, current track if it can sustain itself and move in to the stronger sheared environment it will move through Oxford, Bicester, Buckingham, Milton Keynes and Bedord before heading into Cambridgeshire if it can live that long and is Cyclic in nature.

Same, another thing I noted was the capped off look to the showers this afternoon, they decayed very quickly. Doesn't look as promising as yesterday

Beginning to push to the east side of Sheffield so just a swipe here unless it jigs west again. Most the lightning high up so only slightly visible.

Correlating the sat24 radar with what i'm seeing outside, I can actually see the tops of that CB expansion above Swinton all the way from here.

Strong Hook echo showing on the Swindon storm heading into Oxford shortly. Looks dangerous and could drop a tornado or extremely large hail.

Scattered cells developing over Mid Wales now, should have some reasonable CAPE to tap into right into the evening. GFS showing good SB CAPE right up until 9pm.

Looks like we got 2 beasts on the loose!! One over in Sheffield and another at Oxfordshire.

Some strikes reported over the Pennines now.

Can anyone recommend a video editor app for android? I'd like to speed my video up a bit and then post it for you to all see :)

Pity it was a side swipe. Plenty of lightning mostly high level but seen the odd cloud to ground.
