The skies are brightening up here and also feeling more muggy.

26 strokes per minute in and around Leamington Spa from the system: zoomed-in and counted. This is quite high as we know not all strokes are recorded on real time lightning. An example of this would be the storm currently near Scarborough. There are a few strikes on NW radar but basically nothing in this area on the real-time but plenty being seen if you are there.

Given that, look how many strikes there must be in real life in Lisieux now :shok:

Sun has come out here and it's stifling and uncomfortable.

I'd say it's a fairly safe bet I'm afraid. East of Brum still have it all to play for.

Where is the CF at the moment?

That Beast is coming alive again over Coventry, maybe its the urban heat gives it more oomph to it.

Lets hope something kicks off a little further east. Currently everything is too far west for me lol

Over for SE England now stormwise in my opinion,we have lost the cloud but a change to a breezy SW flow has replaced it.Its feeling fresher even ahead of the cold front. We have also lost the glorious thundery/tropical convective skys here and replaced with standard 'cotton wool cumulas".I would imagine North of London the place to be now?

Watch the cluster of showers developing SW of Oxford, with current movement they have our neck of the woods written all over them later on if they can intensify :)

More cells now firing up around Chippenham area.

Weather Pro app is saying more storms for Bristol area after 5pm. Certainly feels like it will happen, its rather muggy.

Looking fairly promising for my neck of the woods. Some pretty heft looking clouds now on the horizon towards the south.

Well put a bit of variation into the theme lightning to the south west of us. So we've had lightning every where bar here and to the north west and North. Sun brief though it is is pumping the temps up.

The showers of the Kent coast albeit small could produce some lightning looking at them, watch for strikes soon.

Yours and several others have been moved here:

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/80928-no-storms-hate-storms-post-your-storm-related-moans-and-groans-here/

I'll say again. This thread is for constructive discussion of the storm situation, the link above is for grumbles and frustration at your lack of storms. We don't want this thread becoming over-run with storm-starved frustration, as it ruins the thread for others who want to keep up to date with the situation.

Cell just fired off the Kent/E Sussex coast

What started off as a little cell south of Le Havre has certainly exploded could we be in for another display this evening? Here's hoping.

Looks like Heathrow Airport could be coming under a bit of a backlash at the moment for cancelling flights in bright blue sunshine!

Close to being called a BUST this forecast.

That was a bizarre decision it had to be said. I wonder who advised that?!
