Out of nowhere, big drops of rain and a crac of thunder. Nothing on the radar.. I caught it on cam just in time too.

Ha ha sorry HC but in all fairness us Bristol members suffer when it comes to storms we don't get anything so to get 4 (so far) is a blessing.

Bloody annoying lol especially when I have a bet with hubby that we will have a big storm today and he is saying zilch my pride is riding on this! (Not to mention a £5)

It is bloody annoying lol. Even considered driving down to Kent last night to witness the show. Just passed up on it, wish I hadn't now.

Only chance for me I think is if the cluster just to the North of Le Harve crosses the channel and stays on it's course. I did get about a 30 minute show of Lighting last night that was reasonably impressive but a disappointment all the same. Didn't get any thunder with it, which is what I want the most. Really loud bangs.

Good luck to you.

Hi all, I'm in Swindon and the temps are climbing. A reasonable storm last night around 01.30 but not direct, I'm currently watching the corridor of cells that are teasing me over to my west currently affecting Westbury that seem to heading north and slightly east which is bringing it closer to here, I hope! Anyone under it?

Clouds thinning over much of the south east be surprised if temps don't reach what the gfs was going for tbh by around 4pm.

I'm considering driving down towards Bournemouth to catch a storm as there seems to be little headed this way. Any thoughts or would I be wasting my time?

I wouldn't bother its all to the westof Poole, Wareham/Blandford way. Bomo is clear.

Just heavy rain here at the moment, but a really nice line of strong storms from Worcester down to Salisbury, gaining intensity and building east as it moves north :)

Not to mention cloud breaking in the south and east midlands southwards now. Was worried earlier that we'd be stuck, under cloud all day but really promising developments further south now, and it's only half 1.

Yep, everything missing to the west or east. Last night was west, thursday east and south. Been a super dupere event here. Need the sun out to get something homegrown.
