Well haven't seen any lightning in the distance for a while.. ~ but I have and still can hear several owls chatting in the forest .. my attempt of an owl impression lead one of them to fly on to my roof and look down at me haha

Last night was amazing here, tonight ive only seen distant lightning, but I'm happy and glad so many people are getting a good show. Fingers crossed something comes my way from south lol I'm stuck in the clear skied home counties lol

Damn Kent, another Kent clobberer on the cards and damn all for this area. Takes the mick when the west country gets storms, Kent does and North Bucks does. Makes you think "what the hell is going on here?!?!" And meanwhile, despite drinking a cold beer, I feel like I'm melting in this room where the temp is probably about 28 celsius. Suppose I should open the windows properly or put the fan on, could be wise, rather than sitting in this pool of sweat. But can I be bothered...? That, is the question.

Such a disappointing night. Not a sniff of thunder or lightning since 10:30, and even that was terrible.

The lot coming over the channel looks tasty though.

I keep getting ready to go to bed, since we have had nothing so far this evening, but each time something catches my interest! I guess I shall have to wait for that growing area to the west of Le Havre then...

Still plenty of time and tomorrow early morning and during the day  / afternoon has the most potential to spark major widespread storms. Dont worry just yet. :good:

Never! A combination of stoicism, stubbornness and boundless optimism requires me to stay up 'til I snap!

Damn Kent to oblivion!!!! My cousins live there and they witnessed the storms just earlier this evening. Envious of their luck!

Things look good for tomorrow, let's just hope we don't get stuck under stubborn cloud all morning, when you look south over France there certainly is alot of rain heading our way. If that moves north nice and quick it could be another good day.

Don't want to seem ungrateful but I have seen more in the last 8 hours than I have seen in the last 2 years. I just want to sleep now but it won't let up !

Things calming down a bit here now, at its height there was lightning roughly 5-10sec or so, now once every 30sec-1min. Gone from IC to CG also now.

Some proper thunder now, storm getting close, dry as yet, exceptionally humid.
