Camera is all set up for lightning photography.

Decided on the 18 - 55mm lens over the 75 as i'm only using around 25 - 30 mm to give me this angle!

Hope i'm not getting my hopes up for nothing!

Nice pic, I haven't seen a telegraph pole since I moved away from Havering!

Looks as if it's current track will take it over central/east London and miss the west, what does everybody else think on that? I would love another light show tonight (I'm just a little north of Uxbridge)

Running the sat24 animation I'm now wondering if East Essex, Basildon way will get hit.

Hey everyone. Well it's 27c and 66% humidity in ipswich. Very very muggy and hazy skies. Hoping everything comes off. Certainly Suffolks best chance of a major storm in a long while. I have to admit though I feel like a big kid. Well exciting.

Looking at the current speed of the system can anyone guesstimate how long that beast will take to hit essex and suffolk as I may have to drive to a friends house past Colchester v soon

The humidity has suddenly gone through the roof...utterly insane heat. I cannot explain just how intense the heat is! Sky getting blacker from the South and southeast. The bf and I going for a walk shortly to see if we can hear/see anything approaching.

Would still stress don't be too preoccupied with the BoB...I'm expecting sudden explosions of activity in the next few hours and not just from that mothership!!

Looking good in the southeast - avoiding the amber warning area has done you good, as it usually does!

Not much to report yet, temps still at 29°c, skies very muddled and very dark!
