Frequent Lightning and Thunder, but it's all happening a good distance East of here. Still it's nice to watch it from a safe distance, unlike last night when it was literally on top of my roof ! :-)

Is it just me or has the humidity shot up with this approaching storm?

Not a lot of thunder and lightning here in the end, but it's nice that the air feels a bit fresher now

Hoping this thing swings around to the NE more, current track has it missing most of London though it does seem to be turning slowly, an anxious few hours ahead!

T20 match live on Sky Sports 2 at Canterbury and you can see the storm approaching. Commentators already said there is a storm closing in.

Gone very dark, very quickly there too.

Think this beast is going to hit London head on, judging by the darkening skies here!

Last nights storms already were and so are tonight's. It has been said that these are going to be even more severe. Someone got struck last night it was on radio 1 however it wasn't direct and she was ok.

I can give no judgement I was not up, sadly but the build up is incredible. Gone very dark, the 'UFO' has swamped the capital, watch the planes start getting diverted to northern locations. Very humid you can feel it as if a bubble is about to burst. Stay safe everyone.

Camera is all set up for lightning photography.

Decided on the 18 - 55mm lens over the 75 as i'm only using around 25 - 30 mm to give me this angle!

Hope i'm not getting my hopes up for nothing!

Lightning breaking out way ahead of the main cluster in central sourhern england now, I'm wondering if this is the high land surface temperatures coming into play??
