Hello all,

Can anyone tell me what my chances are of getting something over the weekend,

My kids love storms too and are nagging me for answers. I know I have a 70% chance tomorrow at 1600 but understand that can change and it's hard to pin point any storm action.

Thanks

Doesn't look that bad to me.

This model is still showing widespread highs of 29C over East Anglia tomorrow so maybe a 30 or 31C is possible in any decent spells of sunshine.
If the French storm makes it here, I might have to drive to the cliffs at Leigh on sea, should get a great view to the south from there.

This is PIT we're talking about lol :D

Haven't got yesterdays nmm for the same to hand but it was a lot better. Todays is even better which only roves what the charts show and what actually happens are two different things.

I shall be pulling an all-nighter and probably driving south too. I am looking at somewhere in CS England as a good point - maybe Oxfordshire.

Some nice thundery looking Altocumulus Castellanus to the south but the showers in the channel are just that at the moment in the near non-existent CAPE environment as shown on the models.

Lightning detectors say otherwise

I'll likely pull a all-nighter, get some cigs from the shops and head up on the moor behind me which has a good view to the south. Any tops/anvil crawlers should be easily seen now the visibility has improved.

Fecamp is getting a right battering ...the web cam shows some really strong gusty wind too.

Sounds like a top plan!

All nighter here. The adrenaline keeps me going. Starting further south in the East Mids, and driving a little further SE if necessary, before returning north (hopefully in hot pursuit by thunderstorms) to the Peaks for more views in the early hours of the morning.

Although I'll go where the storms are tonight if I'm honest lol.

There won't be any thundery activity here, but there should be some refreshing rain tomorrow!

Going by the current radar, the Estofex forecast seems spot on!
