Must have caught over 200 strikes on camera so far and that wouldnt be half, lightning every 2-10 seconds here for last 30 minutes.

Frequent flashes and the odd rumble South of here, had some light rain but nothing major, wind perked up also. Camera at the ready. Don't wish for any hail as it'll knacker my crop of Oil Seed Rape…!

Yes Andy P / Dave it's been incredible, best storm for 8 years maybe. Definitely intensified as it got to our towns. I knew several places got struck but wow re the church! Extremely windy as it's clearing.

Just got back from one of my favourite spots for watching lighting, and managed to capture a few bolts ! Will post them asap probably after work. Got to say that I have just had one of the best storms I've seen in a long time.

Good luck to everyone tonight and into the weekend

That Portsmouth storm looked quite insane! Funny how the areas at less of a risk are seeing the best action. Just shows how hard it is to predict these storms. Looks like a complete non event for Ireland etc now.

At least they know how we feel about Belgium and France 95% of the time!

I am thinking this storm system could be hitting the Midlands in the next couple of hours.

Hopefully before the night runs out....after watching all the ecxellent costal webcams, it will be good to treat Brumcam to a few night  flashes :good:

That bad boy does seem to be holding up well over Southern England at the moment. Don't know whether it will have enough strength to overpower the Solihull storm shield. But am hoping it will, especially if Costa Del Fal/Blizzards turns out to be correct about the fact that it could very well reach the Midlands.
