Keep your eyes peeled, appears to be another storm developing right over MK and going to head your way shortly, heard a few small grumbles from high up, as well as bursts of heavy convective rainfall and very squally winds.

Hi all, complete weather novice here. Been watching this forum for ages.

I'm a complete beginner and don't know a lot but enjoy the prospect of a good storm.

In burnham-on-sea, somerset and it's gone very dark with reasonably heavy rain at the mo.

Why do I feel that London, the SE and East Anglia will mostly miss out again?

 

Because we were forecasted "Yesterday" for today for storms, usually the met and forecasters struggle beyond half a day let alone the next one!

Can see the dark clouds now over MK way. The Clouds are going crazy :crazy:

crazy indeed! very convective looking up there atm. Can see the cloud towards mk, i just hope it explodes like the last! Cant decide if i should go up the hill to watch it though :S

Just heard a rumble, going up the hill with camera! good luck everyone!

Ooooh I've been out in the rain watching it and heard nothing, although that sky looks prime for a flash, so I'm not surprised.

Woop it's kicking off here now. Lightning and thunder here nr Stourbridge. :D

Looks like the main action will be North of here though - trough moving quicker than I expected.

The far SE/Kent were always going to be struggling, despite the MetO warning, their own graphics showed the majority of action going off to the west.

Ooh nice bit of rolling thunder there. The storms seem to be embedded here as we had no breaks in the clouds.

Wow that one cracked through the atmosphere.

A lot of thunder around and warm sunshine, v dark in the SE, in the SW the cloud tops are absolutely immense! Yep over toward Norwich v dark indeed!

Lower clouds moving southerly higher clouds northerly. Interesting to see it.
