No worries Saint, a week is a long time in meteorology! The Spanish Plume could end up further east and miss us completely!

Hopefully it won't though! Fingers crossed!If it's till in the models Tuesday/Wednesday, then we should start getting a tad more excited.

Morning all

 

first weekday of my week off and could not sleep in  (pah!) just the body clock used to getting up early, that and the windows open, local street noise and it being warm, so not much then :D

Bright start to the day here, despite all the talk of heat, today could see a high of 25C over this region.So not exactly cold :p

Finally things are looking up for our region.  looking forward to seeing some high temperatures this week in our area and hopefully some decent sunshine rather than the persistent cloud we've been having lately.

i love all extremes of the weather.  heat and sun in the summer and cold and snow in the winter.  rest assured that neither of these situations last for very long in the UK so we should just enjoy them when they happen.

If this Heat brings us some weather to get excited about then so be it - Doesn't mean I will automatically enjoy being hot,sweaty,sleepy and watch my lil one suffer too. I am happy with warm weather, i have nothing against warm weather. 

 

And to those who wonder how I would cope in hotter climates - I don't tend to head to them anyways- so that point would be null and void.

I am locked away in the lounge where it is coolest in the present conditions, may venture out to the local shop in a while as I am running low on milk (day one of the week off and already drinking way too much tea).

 

Oh yeah, weather, errr, hot and dry, some clouds but not many, nil rain and only a light breeze.

 

Going to be a loooooong week.

I wish it would stay warm! Hot and London don't mix!

Nice day, just a little fair weather cloud and a nice westerly breeze. A high of 23C with 25C recorded in London today.

The only way is up from here this week.

ITV local weather forecast is going for 28-30C for Thursday and Friday.

Lovely summers day here today. About 40% cloud cover now, and a nice breeze.... That should help for comfy sleeping tonight. As a fan of extreme weather... Looking forward to the heat as the week goes on - but I'm sure I will be cursing it, as I will be to hot in work, and to hot to sleep. LOL

Finally cooled down a bit (if you can call it cooler) as the cloud and breeze has taken the heat away a bit, just hope tonight will allow some sleep but suspect the windows will be flung open again and the cooler wheeled out once more.

Cooling breeze has ended and suddenly it has started to feel humid, the plume of warm air, is making its prescience felt - really warm day today I dread to think how I will cope later in the week :help:
