Wow purple echoes could get a direct hit, and I think there is some rotation in the cloud.... Interesting

Some lively thundery showers today! Lots of sun I inbetween and it feels warm in that sun even though the air temp currently is a pretty pathetic 19C.

Lots of beautiful storm clouds spotted on my journey around the eastern M25 and southern M1 a couple of hours ago.

Once again I'm in the corridor of uncertainty.

Lots of lovely storms skirting Potters Bar, but none have scored a direct hit.

Brief but very hefty thundery shower with bean-sized hail thrown in mid-afternoon. Feels fresher again now.

Had two intense storms this afternoon, produced some heavy rain, some very close T&L included.  Feeling fresher out now, still breezey too.

Just had the second thunder shower of the day, went very dark and there was quite frequent lightning and thunder, plus 10 mins of heavy rain. Brightening up again now.

High recorded by my station of 22.4, been in the garden strimming all day as we've got a log cabin arriving tomorrow, and the surrounding area looks a mess. It's been threatening to rain most of the day, and has on occasions, another blob coming in again now on radar, 3rd time I'll have to bring the extension lead and strimmer + hedge trimmer in

Where did you get your log cabin from.......Argos?  25c today, a number of thunderstorms flirted with NW London today without giving us much rain!

Scrapped the golf course this afternoon, for a game of top-golf in Chigwell. Got there and teed off at three. At around 3.45 torrential downpour a bit of thunder, but saw the most impressive cc lightening. Lasted for all of 10 minutes, but was good while it lasted, and gave me a few minutes to practice we rusty golf swing ;-)
