Blimey! 10mm came from that brief but intense downpour!

Ah here is the rain, really fine fluffy stuff. Not the sort of rain linked with a storm.

It has got very muggy since the rain started.

Two very heavy periods of rain here, short the first time, longer the second, both very intense, not aware of any T&L though.

Will be interesting to see what this evening/night may bring.

First shower of the day flirting with NW London, all heading East though! :aggressive:  What's with the east lately, :unknw:  it's become a shower magnet!  :(  Been sunny and warm up to now here!

Hi everybody

Well where is this "heavy" rain that was forecast, it seems to have missed us, it is a lovely day here on the coast in thanet and apart from a five minute shower this morning there has not been a drop and the ground really needs it.

There's a pretty good lump of showers heading up the channel, just getting to Portsmouth. The Bognor webcam still has people sitting on the beach...d'ya think we should tell them? Nah.

Had quite a few cracks of thunder here and quite a bit of rain too.

Already tired of it.

Nothing here! It's been looking stormy for a while now, but still no rain, no thunder and no cool down!

Been looking like the end of times for a while here  dark as anything. Slightly brighter a bit now. Had plenty of rain and on and off thunder, quite a few loud cracks about half hour back.

Just around the corner from me about an hour or two back, motorways are having some issues. Flooding in Tesco's and all sorts.

Well I "nipped" out to the local corner shop an hour ago and have been there all this time, gave up waiting for a break in the monumental rain we have had here and made a dash for home (3 minute walk), was soaked through before a minute had passed, the roads are like rivers here, some T&L too.

No rain, sferics or nuffinck here. Just horribly humid and grey. Bah.

Our part of London seems to miss out on weather "events!' :(

Yup.

So, are we all concerned about what Sunday might throw at us, or have the models changed in the last two hours and indicated that Bertha/the remnants of Bertha/an LP spawned by Bertha/an LP nothing to do with Bertha is heading to the Mediterranean via Bordeaux or Svalbard rather than the southern UK?
