Looks like East Anglia could be in for some severe storms later, with a high risk of large hail, very strong downdrafts and possible tornados!!!, lets see what ex Bertha can throw at me here in Lowestoft, think im in a prime spot for later.

Watch the squall line that has now developed , as this moves slowly eastwards expect severe weather to develope, this could turn into a very dangerous situation later, keep safe everyone.

I have heard three distant rumbles in east London. Set to go out soon, so hope I have an excuse to stay in and watch a storm (and hope my mum doesn't scream and scare my toddler...lol)

Got woke up by thunder, quite some angry storms about. Estofex picked up on the storms, I did not expect them to issue a level 2 warning not windy at all here, main feature is the rain.

My thunder just petered out before it really got going! At least it's nice and cool for a change!

Here on the cusp of the EA/Midlands border it has stopped raining and getting brighter now, still calm too.

Morning folks.

We just had a lovely long roll of thunder but the rain that had been going all night seems to have tailed off for the moment.  Ooo another thunder roll!

Eta:  I spoke too soon.  The rain is doing a lovely gentle drizzle.  Bet that changes later.

looking like some very wet /thunder storms  over  London  could  cause  flash flooding  very easily

Nice bright flash and some rumbles. Feeling quite close still. I have my thunderstorm goosebumps... always a good sign!
