Another good day here. After the early rain cleared it's been bright and a bit breezy, but still managed to keep the warmth.

Lets do tomorrow as there is enough confidence in this forecast

Posted Image

Slack north westerly flow, sea breezes around coasts

Looks mostly dry, maybe an isolated shower

Temperatures - 22-26C, a little cooler on the coasts compared to recent days as sea breezes will develop.

Friday

Posted Image

Light East/south easterly flow.

Rain or showers developing, those details are sketchy, there is also a chance of some storms being imported from the continent.

Temperatures

Posted Image

Unsure as cloud amounts and rainfall will dictate these, but 25C could be possible in places.

Saturday

Posted Image

Moderate west/north westerly flow

Sunshine and showers and feeling a bit fresher.

Temperatures - 21-24C so not a bad day in all.

The big question mark is Sunday, still lots to play for there with the models chopping and changing. At the moment it doesn't look great with a spell of wind and rain at some point during the day.

It's still shirt-sleeves temperatures in central London, beginning to cloud up now, though.

Morning all, today looks like being a very nice day

Posted Image

Weak ridge which should keep most places dry, warm air overhead so temperatures should be above average. 23-26C looks like being the high.

Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon, quiet in here these days, gone from 20-30 different posters making a visit to just a handful.

Anyway another dry and sunny day, some cloud, light breeze and feeling rather warm and humid again.

I think that's normal when the weather is quite constant and nothing 'exciting' is on the horizon.

Nothing exciting on the horizon Lauren ?  Look to our west and you might see something quite exciting possibly heading our way this weekend ?

I say possibly because nothing is certain this far out, but unless I'm mistaken there is certainly the potential for a spell of very unsettled weather towards the end of the weekend.

Almost hit 27c today! Just saw the forecast and we are supposed to have torrential downpours tomorrow afternoon!

Wouldn't mind a downpour, we've had some rain in the last week, but its only wetted the ground, not given it a proper deep watering.

Well, I think that is being discussed in the Bertha thread, so posts that may have been here are now there.

That's where my interest is at the moment, especially as Bertha could still vanish off the face of the Earth.

Weather warnings out for thundery rain (East)

Heavy, possibly thundery, rain is likely to affect southeastern and eastern parts of England on Friday. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel due to standing surface water on some roads. A deepening area of low pressure is likely to pass close to southeastern England on Friday. With very warm, humid air over the region there is the potential for the rain to become very heavy during the afternoon with totals of more than 50 mm locally.

and thundery showers (west)

Heavy, slow moving and possibly thundery showers are likely on Friday. The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding. A warm, unstable airmass will affect the area leading to heavy, slow moving showers and a risk of hail and thunderstorms. Rainfall of 20-30mm are likely locally, but could exceed 50mm .

The idea that nothing exciting is coming our way is strange! It's about to be one of the more interesting weekends of the summer weather wise (Bar storms)

Maybe there's other reasons... Who knows!

Batten down the hatches... :D

Looks like a weekend more spent in that out at this rate, but nothing set for sure yet as to the where, when and what will be making its way to us, unsettled for sure though either way.

Another hot sunny day in London, I've lost count of the number of >25C days this summer. I've been on holidays for the past 10 days and returned to find that our lawn has died so we could do with a drop of rain around here!

At the mo i'm more interested in those heavy showers tomorrow, the event over the week end keeps changing it's mind.
