Evening all.

My first quiet and relaxing hour for weeks so I thought I'd pop in to see if the weather is going to be nice for my son and friends who are camping next week and what do I read.........a storm coming!

They're off to Epping Forest so I hope it isn't near there at least.

And my outside watermelon has it's 1st male flowers out, so the female ones should be out soon and I'll be gutted if they're ruined. I'll have to put a plastic cover over them.

Is a storm likely?

Hi Tadpole! Long time to hear from you! Hope you are well!

Almost as accurate as some forecast from well known weather centers!:p

Can we please move on from this, hatred of the metoffice forecasts is the path to the dark side.

We don't want anyone being tempted by Darth Rao (Sith lord and Express journalist)

On a weather note, it's partly cloudy here. The next few days look pretty decent.

Don't hate the met or bbc, it was just a joke and yes the Daily express is not a good place to get your weather news from!

Hi Tadpole! Long time to hear from you! Hope you are well!

Hi Lassie

Yes I'm fine and pleased 'real life' has calmed down now and I can get back to other important things......like the weather and here!

Thank you very much JP for the update. We're all grateful as every I'm sure.

I'll advise my son to make Wednesday a 'not to far from tent' type day and after that they'll just have to make the best of it. It's looking nice for them for the next couple of days so that's something I guess.

Morning all.

Nice start to the day here, some hazy sunshine.

We are under a ridge of high pressure today, but even so a few heavy showers are likely to break out during the afternoon. Temperatures around 21-24C, maybe a 25C in any longer spells of sunshine.

Have a great day everyone.

Wednesday evening looks fun for a bus jolly in central London - mid-20s, humid and the risk of showers: the people on the top deck will be alternately too hot and too wet, if they don't take my advice about when to close the windows!

A fine pleasant day, 23C the top temperature with light winds. Looks like the top temperature was Mildenhall at 25C

Still beats the winter of continuous rain and gales we had.

More changeable times ahead with the potential for wind and rain this weekend.
