A rather gloomy start here, strange considering it's sunny in Great Yarmouth (by the sea). Hopefully this should clear quickly for another hot day.

A rather gloomy start here, strange considering it's sunny in Great Yarmouth (by the sea). Hopefully this should clear quickly for another hot day.

Lovely here near the North Coast as well, pleasant breeze from the East, sun is really strong.

Just wonder what that trough over the continent will do.  It looks as though it will get close to Norfolk and Suffolk during Saturday, whether it will produce anything other than cloud, I'm not sure.  Looking at the Fax chart it looks as though it disappears as the trough comes in from the West, that should produce some instability in the region

Lovely day here, just some fair weather cloud which has bubbled up during the day. A high of 27C. Shockingly my location is only as warm as the Stornoway today  :rofl:

Shows how widespread this warmth is over the UK.

Didn't over bake :) tomorrow look like some rain in afternoon too oh well the plants will be happy :)

Hmm there does seem to be some decent cape over the west Midland which is where I'm heading tomorrow afternoon before heading to north Wales of Saturday, might chase these potential bad boys down.

Morning all :)

 

Bright start here in Saffron Walden, looks like it will not be quite as warm today as high/mid level cloud spreading in off the continent with the risk of a few heavy showers. Maybe even a thunderstorm for a lucky few. Last post from me in here for a while as I'm heading off to north Wales this afternoon.
