We went to Boa Vista, but I hear Sal is nice too.

I'll let you know.

Not really sure what to expect. Have never done an all inclusive holiday, somewhere were all there is to do is either pool or beach.

We're normally an active family, last few years have been spent in Florida, and even beach holidays we've always hired a car to explore.

Got to get the head around doing relatively bugger all for 10 days.

There should be stuff you can do. We were on a smaller island with less to do but found enough to keep us amused in terms of exploring.

Yeah, think we'll be fine.

Another very sticky afternoon in central London.  Was okay last week but struggling a bit more this week.  Not sure why because the humidity isn't any higher than it was last week.  Thought i might have acclimatised by now.

Yes central London and the tube suck in this weather! Air conditioned trains too much to ask for?

don't be silly :)

don't be silly :)

it makes me laugh when people complain about their hot cars.  At least they can wind the windows down and they are not squeezed next to some sweaty stranger's armpits.  They wouldn't last 5 minutes on the tube.

I think we will have air conditioning in 80% of trains by 2018! Not long to wait then! If you are not very tall, then you tend to be at armpit level to people in the tube! :bad: 27.5c!

Lovely afternoon, a fairly stiff easterly breeze, some altocummulus  and a maximum temperature of around 28C. Made the afternoon so much better, shame our team didn't win the treasure hunt though.

What a gorgeous early evening, sat in Cavendish Square in Central London and the sun is still warm. Lovely summer conditions

FAX charts

Tomorrow

Posted Image

Gentle East/North easterly flow

Looks mostly dry for our region with good sunny spells, just some fair weather cloud inland and maybe some mist around the north norfolk coast

Very warm or hot again with temperatures of 25-29C. Cooler on the coast.

Friday

Posted Image

Gentle north easterly flow

There is a disturbance over the continent, this could possibly feed some showers across the north sea to us or even generate an isolated home grown shower.

Temperatures - 24-28C. Again cooler on the coast with the risk of mist and low cloud.

Saturday

Posted Image

Light northerly flow

Possible showery activity again here, becoming more widespread as the cold front approaches.

In any prolonged sunny spells it could become very warm or hot.

Temperatures - 25-29C.

Turning fresher and showery for Sunday and Monday. But after that there is some uncertainty on how things pan out.

Looks like the heat might return after a brief cool spell captain pike!

Not sure to be honest. Next week looks hard to forecast and subtle changes could have big effects going forward into August.

Hopefully the weather won't turn to onions as we go into August!

Evening all

Another hot day here, last night was a tad cooler and managed the whole night without the cooler on  for a change, do not think that will be an option tonight though.  Was a comfy start this morning (in comparison by anymeans), was 27oC in the shed an hour ago, now down to 23oC.

May I ask why you keep referring to Captain Shortwave as Captain Pike? Shortwaves forecasts are his own time/research and work and should maybe be respected as such? He is not a John Pike in waiting, but a forecaster in his own right. just an observation.

Goes back to a little joke we had a while back. Read back if you can find it and it is no disrespect to CSW! Hope you are okay BTW! 22.3c clear and breezy! Hope CSW knows it's a joke!
