For anyone interested in a Webcam on the South Coast this is a good one at Bognor Regis as it has sound as well as live streaming video.

http://www.bognorregisbeach.co.uk/live

In fact just watching and listening I can still hear the odd thunder rumble on it whereas where I live half a mile from the beach I can no longer hear it.

As far as I'm aware, these Spanish Plume set-ups are difficult to forecast in terms of "will person A get a storm?" due to the complex factors involved, but I'd be surprised if you (or I, for that matter) get through the night without hearing something.

Depends on which ear I'm sleeping on - if my right ear is open to atmosphere I won't hear anything :D

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?
