Cambridge is an absolute oven right now. Literally had sweat pouring from me it was that hot. Had some hot days but this one is right up there, everything is set up for big storms later.

Humid but quite cool here in the Forest now...watching the storms track away from us and towards Kent and the far south east. ..quite happy with last night's show including looking at the moon with lightning flashing all around it...never seen that before! Big family party tomorrow so hoping the storms keep away...

Blimey the weather even merited a headline on Look East just now with Chris Bell - shame the charts on view showed absolutely nothing in Norfolk (well, that's true - there IS nothing in Norfolk)

Cooling down outside now with more of a breeze and cloud. Not sure that's a good thing?

Think I'll be making a trip to Folkestone in an hour if that storm leaving the French coast holds together.

Looks like it will as a clump heading for Brighton has electrified once it LEFT the coast !!

Time to head off, will be in Southend in an hour if the traffic is decent. Time to let rip mother nature.

It's still 29C here  :pardon:

Omg that storm on the radar if heading right for me I'm home alone and petrified roll on winter!!

And I think it will get here about 20:30 surely it just picks up momentum over the sea?

I still not sure on the chances Dorset could get tonight, storms seems to be heading east much more than it was last night! Looking to my south i can see the edge of this storm and can tell clouds look electrified, so all to play for yet i hope! Few flashes out to our west so here hoping!!

all i say people in the Brighton area  look out there looking like a monster heading for that area, still  reading 31 out side  nor supposed to drop below 21 to-night going to be a hot old  night|!
