Beautiful start to the day here, looks like a cracker today with temperatures in the 25-27C range across the region, maybe edging a little higher the the ye olde favoured spots.

Have a great day everyone.

Its Getting hot in here...so take off all your clothes

Afternoon all

Whilst not a sunny day here as the cloud has remained stubborn in sodding off it has been very warm and dry, bit of a breeze but not unwelcome at this time if out and about (which I will be later in the garden at least), only one more day till my three day weekend (which work forgot about) then only a week till my whole week off (which work also forgot about), picked up some longer HDMI leads and coax today so I can complete the freeSAT installation later as well.

Hope the weather is OK as I am off to a heavy horse show and country/steam fayre this weekend (camera should see plenty of use).

Some sun and some thin high cloud from time to time. 26C in a moderate south westerly wind.

In other words, lovely :)

just been out into town (via library and pub) and feeling very warm out (and in for that matter), may be a sticky night sleep wise tonight.

No storms till after the weekend, have far too much outdoor stuff planned that does not need cold, wind, rain or storms to hamper them.

It's when the weather's like this that I ask myself why I don't move out of London. It's yukky, hot and sticky out there.

Can't see the temps falling much below 16c tonight in London! :(

Beautiful cloudless day in Essex, hot but with a nice breeze. Back in London, similar conditions, hoping the breeze sticks around to stop it getting uncomfortable later

Today was bordering on hot, when out in the sunshine directly on you - it felt very warm. Although expected considering the time of year, tommorow looks to be even more warmer, we are fortunate compared to the states they get brutal cold and scorching heat. Hope you're all well :hi:

It's still over 26C in the flat. Yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping it doesn't rain Saturday - there's a 200-year celebration of cricket at Lords - MCC vs Rest of the World. Judging from the similar match celebrating the 200th anniversary of the MCC itself in 1987, it will be a special occasion.

Thank you so much JP, I really appreciate you taking the time out to do it.

I shall now go prepared on Saturday with waterproof shoes and a brolly! After have some nice hot weather for a change I won't grumble about about 1 day's outing in the rain. And the wildlife and trees need it too.

The heat during the day isn't as bad as trying to get to sleep on a sticky night.

Hope your plants pick up soon. I can't remember the name of it at the mo but there is something I buy 4 sachets for £1 water once a year and the plants seem to thrive even if I have to use rock hard London water. I discovered it during the drought a few years ago. I'll pop to the shed tomorrow and find it. Can't let the weather get in the way of gardening.

Only it's cheaper at the 99p store if you have one near you

Thanks Tadpole! Yes hard London water isn't ideal for the garden! Your vegetables are thriving, cucumbers already! :shok: How are the water melons? Pretty cool out tonight!

Water melons are happier now it's hot but I don't think they liked the cooler nights I forgot to cover them.

I've had a lovely time in the garden in the sun. Looks much tidier now but the squashes are trying to take over everything.

It's hard to beat a warm summers day pottering in the garden listening to the birds in the trees and watching them in my birdbath and on the feeders.

The swifts were out on training flights again, the baby birds look bigger now and my neighbour cats have learned I have a hose at the ready to soak them!

It's hot sunny days like this that remind me that the British summer can be nice. Although I'm concerned that the Silver Birch trees behind my garden have their autumn colours already!  Autumn can naff off 'till October.

It's 24c in the bedroom, I'm off to find my fan.
